A British Army officer and administrator. Commended in Upper Canada for many years successfully and was eventually promoted to major general. Brock got the army and militia for what was to come in the war. When the War of 1812 started, they won at Fort Mackinac and they captured Detroit. He was initially assigned to Montreal. After leading a very successful army life he died at the Battle of Queenston Heights.
